The Shelby Football Officials Association is volunteer, not for profit association devoted to the recruitment, development, and retention of high school football officials who demonstrate a desire to understand and properly administer the rules of the game while conducting themselves with integrity and professionalism.
SFOA will provide highly skilled officials for the schools and other organizations it serves by:
- Promoting the spirit of good sportsmanship, loyalty, and fair play among coaches, players, fellow officials, school administrators, and spectators.
- Increasing the skill and competency level of its officials through a planned program of classroom study and on-the-field practice sessions.
- Enforcing a fair and practical grading system that keeps members well-informed of their status as officials and helps them stay on a path toward success.
- Endorsing and abiding by all AHSAA rules, regulations, and standards as set forth in its latest edition of the Official’s Guide.
